Project Description
Iris is a social policy researcher at the Social Planning and Research Council of BC (SPARC BC) who is passionate about social issues affecting our communities. Iris has worked on numerous research and evaluation projects in communities across BC and Canada focusing on a diverse range of social policy issues including immigration, children and youth, housing, food security, environment, mental health and employment. Iris is a first-generation immigrant who immigrated from South Korea as a child and has volunteered for various immigrant settlement agencies and non-profit organizations over the years. Iris holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Relations from the University of British Columbia and Master of Public Policy degree from the University of Toronto.
