Project Description
Dr. Jat Sandhu established the Public Health Surveillance Unit in 2007 to provide leadership and expertise in population health assessment and disease surveillance for VCH in preparation for the 2010 Winter Olympics. The legacy from the Games and the ongoing work of the Unit has been recognized as innovative and leading practice for public health in Canada. Dr. Sandhu is also Clinical Associate Professor with the School of Population and Public Health at UBC, Adjunct Professor with the Faculty of Health Sciences at Simon Fraser University and placement supervisor for the Canadian Field Epidemiology Program.
