Rod Allen

Rod Allen, recently retired, has been the Superintendent for Bulkley Valley, Cowichan Valley and, Prince George School Districts. Formerly the Assistant Deputy Minister with the BC Ministry of Education, Rod was the architect of British Columbia’s transformation to personalized learning and led the development of the transformed BC curriculum. He established the Innovation Partnership in BC.  Rod is an instructor at Vancouver Island University on Transformational Leadership and Reconciliation and has recently worked with the Aspen Institute, the World Bank, and the Harvard Graduate School of Education.  Rod continues to work closely with the OECD where he leads the Knowledge and Skills team, under the Education 2030 Framework.  Rod, an avid hiker and cyclist, is married with two children. He is grateful to be living on the ancestral and un-ceded lands of the hul’q’umi’num people.
