Neighbourhood Small Grants help connect and engage residents in their community by encouraging them to come up with their own ideas for how their neighbourhood can be strengthened. Small grants of up to $500 (occasionally $1,000) are available for projects by local residents living in 17 communities throughout Vancouver, the North Shore, Burnaby, North Surrey, New Westminster and Richmond.
Last year, the Neighbourhood Small Grants program provided funding of more than $425,711 to support 911 projects that helped connect and engage communities. The grants are administered through our program partner organizations and resident advisory committee members — all local community volunteers.
