If you live in the United States and wish to support Vancouver Foundation, you have different options depending on whether you want to receive a tax receipt for a Canadian or American tax filing.

To Get a Canadian Tax Receipt

Donate anytime to Vancouver Foundation and receive a Canadian tax receipt that can be used in Canadian tax filings. Donations of any amount will receive a receipt. Go to our How to Give page to decide the best way for you to give.

To Get an American Tax Receipt

We can issue American tax receipts for gifts of USD 1,000 or more. You must make your gift out to Friends of Vancouver Foundation, which is a separate legal entity and 501(c)(3) based in the state of Washington that only grants to Vancouver Foundation.

To ensure you receive a tax receipt for your gift, please fill out our Gift to Friends of Vancouver Foundation Form soon after donating.

Friends of Vancouver Foundation accepts donations by bank draft, wire transfer, or cheque. We require several weeks to review and accept new gifts to Vancouver Foundation and appreciate your patience.

Business, Charities, and Foundations

We can issue business receipts to American charities or foundations that make a gift to Vancouver Foundation in Canada. We cannot issue business receipts to American corporations.

We can issue business receipts to American businesses, charities, or foundations that make a gift to Friends of Vancouver Foundation.

Please ensure bank drafts and cheques are made out to “Friends of Vancouver Foundation” and can be mailed to:
