Key pillars under his leadership include PwC’s Trust roadmap, ESG performance management and disclosures; corporate sustainability; the transition to Net Zero; stakeholder relations; and PwC’s flagship ‘New World. New Skills’ social impact initiatives designed to digitally upskill 2 million marginalized Canadians and help close the digital divide.

A thought leader and committed volunteer, James has testified before the Senate of Canada’s Special Committee on the Charitable Sector and was named one of the world’s Top 100 Leaders by Sustainability Magazine and Top 50 ESG Influencers to follow by Onalytica.

He has served on the Board of Directors for the Philanthropic Foundations of Canada, Ontario Association of Food Banks and committees for the Red Cross and the Corporate Oversight and Governance Board at CPA Canada.
