Project Description
Spencer loves helping people build skills they can use to empower themselves. His interests include youth engagement and disability, which he has enjoyed working on in his role as Youth Program Leader for Easter Seals BC, and previously through his work on Vancouver Foundation’s Fresh Voices and Fostering Change campaigns. Spencer is a member of Community Living BC’s Vancouver Council, the YMCA’s Social and Educational Events Committee, and is Editor of BCDisability.com, an in-progress project to connect people to community resources. He also enjoys spending Thursday evenings at the Downtown Eastside Neighbourhood House, where he happily serves as playmate (and sometimes punching bag) to many tireless children. Aside from community engagement, Spencer is passionate about cats, sumo, and rainy weather.
